Saying goodbye to Unit 16

Updated: May 3, 2020

Unfortunately, our time is over in unit 16 and we need to empty it and hand back the keys. On the Saturday when it came 4pm we closed the doors to the Pop-up and started to take down the works. I thought taking it down would be easier than putting up, but I was wrong. There was a team of 6 taking down the works of 28 artists which was a bit stressful as their work was in your hands and taking it down had to be very careful we didn’t damage it.

After we taken down all the work we patched up the walls and cleaned the unit, we left it in the condition in which we received it in.

I have absolutely loved every minute of this exhibition journey from organising it to, seeing it happen it has been an incredible experience and even thought at times it was tough I would love to do this again. It has made me revaluate my career options.
